How to drive in the Northern Finland?

Im thinking I will star calling my Beetle as Mansikki- Strawberry. Mansikki is traditional cows name in Finnish. Mooarvaleous name.

Remember that northern land and Lapland  is one huge reindeer herding area, and when meeting them, it can be good idea just stop and let them walk by.

And then I had good night at Pudasjärvi beach- nice view and toilet, perfect place for campervan traveller.

Cowcamp and Im in love

Cows, milking, sheeps, chickens, good food, good company, cheese and pastries workshop, and the best sauna at Mustikkamäki. And pop-up northernmoo exhibition.

Life can be good now and then.

Time   to carry on my round trip- heading to Rovaniemi.

Visit Ilomantsi

    Ilomantsi and attractions-secondhand shops, vineyard and vinetower, orthodox church and Marimekko-Ilomari. 

Happy to found single records in mint condition, Annikki Tähti finnish singer from old days. 

Ilomari and lady of the shop where full of love and kindness, please,  go there if ever visiting Ilomantsi.

But the funniest thing in this under 5000 population town was I saw 3 new Beetles ( black, white and brown) and 1 vintage one. We waved and smiled, so nice to drive Beetle and found relatives ❤️.

Cowcamp with Beetle

About 486 km, took 6 hours with one stop. Beetle was excellent, easy and user friendly. Love her, really, my pearl.

How about the bed?

 Berlingo had #plywood bed.  Beetle has now  bed made from viscom - material is recycled from fair constructions. I think this will work.

And how surprising it was, when wiscom structures  did not fit.  Or  could not get in their place cos of Beetles own limbs- like coxa, trochanter, femur, tibia, and tarsus.

So viscom is smaler than actual space. 

Looks fine 😁.

Second day and getting to know Finland

Well the night went not so well... no wonder why, I had 4 tyres with me.. and in the morning I realised door was open.  

So I decided to have this automatic door opener as sleeping key. Not just the dashboard button 

Normally I can use just the normal key.

Then one thing.. you have to go out always from the sidedoor, back door has not opener.. or i havent found it😂. Is there?

So I woke up pritty early.

After fixing tires to storige We rode again.

To the national nature  park and traditional farm.

After first days ride, I really love her.

We saw some cows

 Visited #kalajoen sand beach.

Last time I was there its about 30 years ago. So I remembered nature. And now hahhaha- cottages, houses, block of houses, adventure park etc. Not my idea of holiday visit- So we rode away quickly.

And near  Kannus- we foud thisone. So beautiful, good place to have your dinner and glass of wine and sleep over
